Roland Berger Strategy Consultants has opened new offices in Dubai, Lagos (Nigeria) and Jakarta (Indonesia). This gives the strategy consultancy a total of 45 offices in 33 countries spread across Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa and the Middle East.

"Our recently opened offices are another important step in the global expansion of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants," says Dr. Martin C. Wittig, CEO of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. "They show just how fast our company is growing: in the first nine months of the year, our fee income saw double-digit growth."

Following Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Singapore, Jakarta (Indonesia) is the strategy consultancys third office in Southeast Asia. "Indonesia will gain further importance as an investment priority for our international clients. There are also many opportunities to work with state-owned enterprises, local conglomerates as well as to support big infrastructure projects all traditional strongholds of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants," comments Joost Geginat, Managing Partner of Roland Berger Asia.

"With its large population, rapidly growing economy, and richness in resources, Indonesia is becoming a hotspot of the global economy," adds Managing Partner Thomas Klotz. "We are looking forward to supporting our global clients as well as local institutions here in addressing their strategic, organizational and operational issues." Roland Berger has been doing business in Asia for over 20 years.
The companys presence in the Arab world has been boosted by its recently opened Dubai office. It is Roland Bergers fourth office in the region, along with those in Doha (Qatar), Beirut (Lebanon) and Manama (Bahrain). "Our new offices in the Middle East correspond to our clients growing demands for local presence in the region," explains Michael Wette, Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and head of the Middle East division. Roland Berger Strategy Consultants started doing business in the Arab world in the late 1990s. As Bernd Brunke, member of Roland Bergers Executive Committee with special responsibility for business in the Arab world, explains, "The region still has considerable potential. Many of the Gulf States are successfully expanding their range of economic activities moving away from oil toward promising sectors of the future such as tourism, financial services and telecommunications. We advise companies and institutions in the region on all functional issues and across all industries with our wide-ranging management knowledge, strategic know-how and international and local expertise."

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is stepping up its activities in Africa too. In addition to its head office in Casablanca (Morocco), the firm has opened another key office on the continent in Lagos (Nigeria). "Africas economies are growing and the continent is becoming an increasingly important growth market for foreign companies, too," says Wittig. The Lagos office serves as a base for business in Sub-Saharan Africa, where Roland Berger experts advise financial institutions, the public sector and private companies from various industries. Christian Wessels, Roland Berger Partner in charge of the region, says, "Africa is the market of the future. Companies that dont act now run the risk of missing out on business opportunities in one of the worlds booming regions."
