Deloitte gives C-suite people strategy guidance with The Chemistry of Talent
While an increasing number of global companies recognize the importance of acquiring and retaining top talent, many are challenged with arranging the right elements in a winning combination for an effective people strategy. In fact, some of the world's most admired companies today expect to lose half of their key people over the next five years.
Introducing innovative solutions designed to help organizations in their efforts to build and execute a successful talent strategy, The Chemistry of Talent offers a framework for C-Suite decision makers to understand what it takes to acquire top talent and create the jobs, organization, and workplace their best people need to thrive. Doing so will require an entirely new, business-focused approach to what have traditionally been considered HR issues, Deloitte says. The book is Deloitte's tenth in a series dedicated to helping companies improve their performance.
"Companies need to strengthen the connections between their workforce and their approach to critical business challenges," said Jeff Schwartz, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP. "We believe understanding the strategic priorities and critical talent requirements of their business is the first step a company needs to take in creating the foundation they need to build the right workforce. Business leaders also need to establish an ongoing dialogue to better understand what functional, economic, and psychological motivations their talented people need to succeed within the organization."
The Chemistry of Talent is part of Deloitte's Talent service offering, which includes services designed to help organizations in their efforts to improve their ability to attract, develop, engage and retain talent.
